26 August, 2018 – Berlin church members gathered last Sunday to hold a service and retreat, meditating on the meaning of salvation. The service sermon concluded the series on 2 Peter reminding everyone to continue growing in God’s grace and the knowledge of the Lord, and live knowing that we live in the precious time of salvation. The afternoon Bible study reminded everyone of God’s heart of love to us shown clearly through the life of Jesus Christ, as we see it in the stories of the Samaritan woman, Bartimaeus, the adulterous woman in John 7 and many others who were healed by grace. But most importantly, God’s love was revealed to us on the cross of Christ when the one without sin gave his life for the sinners. All members were refreshed in the grace of God and strengthened in their conviction of the power of God’s love for us.
